Part one:
Create a log analytics workspace, to store and query firewall logs
Add subnets to the virtual network, for the firewall
Create public IP addresses, for the firewall
Create the firewall policy, including rule collection groups, rule collections, and rules, including destination NAT, network, and application
Create the firewall, and a a diagnostic setting, to send firewall logs to the analytics workspace
Part two:
Update peering relationships and route tables, to use the firewall to govern traffic flow between virtual networks, the VPN, and the Internet
Verify connectivity, to ensure traffic is flowing through the firewall as expected
Recap on the effective routes and effective security rules of the network interfaces, so you can understand how routing and filtering works in the updated topology
Overview of the Kusto Query Language, so you can inspect the firewall logs
